QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience using Draft Sight, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Pro E
Familiar with drafting and reading designs
Java, C++, Matlab, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
EDUCATION:
In progress: BS, Mechanical Engineering • California State University, Sacramento • Fall 2015
PROJECTS:
Anaerobic Digestive System
Created a an anaerobic digestion systemfor the purpose of testing the process of methanogenisis. Utilizing theories
derived from biochemical processes, designed, machined, a systemto be placed in Sustainable Technology
Optimization Resource Center (STORC) of the California State University Sacramento Campus. The final systemwill
power a swamp cooler in order to regulate the temperature of a green house dimensioned at 24 x 36 x 9 feet in
ecologically friendly way.
Portable Solar Voltaic System
Mentored and directed a collective of middle school students in assembling the portable solar voltaic systemknown as
the solar suit case.Through the process, taught said group the basics of circuitry, design, and engineering practices for
the duration of the project. Once assembled this solar suitcase along with others created, were sent off to economically
impoverished countries that don't have electricity on demand. Countries where the solar suitcase product has been sent
to include but are not limited to Haiti, Uganda, as well as the Philippines.
Steam Engine
Machined and milled components of varying material in order to create a fully functioning miniature steam engine.
Built piston, wheel, wheel mounts, and head, using shop equipment including mills, lathes, TIG and MIG welding.
The design was made by following a preset blueprint using CAD drawings.
File Folder Bridge
In a collective of engineering students, designed and constructed a Camelback K-Truss Hybrid Bridge using file folder
material. Predicted point of failure and maximum load utilizing truss analysis and CAD software. Performed tensile
and compression tests on various members in order to find optimal design for maximum strength to weight ratio.
Laser Cut Tool Case
Designed a wall mounted acrylic tool box in CAD software to be laser cut. Operated necessary machinery and
programs to bring project to fruition from drawing phase to producing a tangible product.
Parallax Robot
Assembled and programmed a Parallax robot utilizing PBASIC and a BASIC Stamp 2 microcontroller. Robot
navigated a prescribed track with obstacles to ultimately parallel park between two blocks of wood. Included material
analysis, cost analysis,as well as concurrent engineering processes.
