The official girl group 'RD' consists of three members - Troy, Martika, and Chronz. The group was formed in 2008 when Chronz met songwriter Carla-Marie Williams and they decided to create a girl group. Chronz recruited Troy and Martika through MySpace. Since being formed, RD has toured with popular artists like JLS and N-Dubz and are now being mentored by N-Dubz. The group has released several tracks and have additional songs upcoming.

2. • The official girl group ‘RD’ is made up of three girls named Troy,
Martika and Chronz.
• The group was formed due to admiration from other girl groups such
as En Vogue, TLC and Salt ‘n’ Pepper.
• The group began when Chronz met a song writer named Carla-Marie
Williams in 2008 . Writing sessions between the pair led to Carla
suggesting Chronz should form a group.

which led to the birth
of the group now

3. •Since being together, the group have visited many different boot
camps in which they have worked on their vocals, dance and
performance skills.
•They have been the supporting acts for popular bands such as JLS
and N-Dubz.
•After touring with N-Dubz, the girls are now being mentored by
the group.

4. -From a young age, Troy was involved in
the performing arts industry which led
her to study dance at The Brit School.
- Troy got her first proper taste of the
music industry when the genre of funky
house was born.
-She featured on many club songs, and
began to love the idea of having a singing
career.
CHARACTERISTICS OF TROY
- Known as the ‘mummy’ of RD, Troy is
known to have a very caring nature and
being a bit of a fitness freak.
- She is also a member of Supreme
Skaters Elite.

5. -- Martika (commonly known as Tika) is the
youngest in the group being just 18 years
of age.
-Her dad is a producer and her mum sung
the backing vocals for ‘Sting’.
- Tika’s main influence within the industry
is Alicia Keys.
- She studied music at City and Islington
Academy.
CHARACTERISTICS OF MARTIKA
-Alongside being a full-time, dedicated
member of RD, Tika is also a purple belt in
kickboxing.
- Prior to ending up within the music
industry, Tika originally thought that she
would have a career in fashion and is
therefore in charge of making sure the
group are dressed to a certain standard.

6. -Chronz is known to be a major grime fan
and this is represented though her main
input in the group, being their MC.
- Her inspirations range from Ghetts, D
double E, Dizzie Rascal and fellow female
MC, Shystie.
- Previously in a crew named ‘Doin A Lot’,
Chronz used to perform outside of local
Costcutter shops.
CHARACTERISTICS OF CHRONZ:
-Major fan of Red Bull.
- Old jobs include working in bars and
doing reception based work.
