AA #2 = Close Encounters of the Third Kind
In the movie “Close Encountersof the ThirdKind”byStevenSpielberg,Ifoundthe
scene betweenthe UFO’sandthe giantelectronicboardverycreative andentertaining.The
durationinthisscene lastedlongeruntil the UFOwasable to understandwhatthe scientist
we’re tryingtoexplainwiththe electronicboard,butalsoit waslike a fastattack. What I
meanis thatonce the scientistswere abletotransferthe message tothe UFO thanksto the
electronicboard,the UFOquicklyresponded,messagingthembackandsoundgotlouder
veryquick.Thenat the end,the soundstartedto slowlyfade awayuntil Icouldnolonger
hearit whichwasa slowdecay.The onlywayto getthe UFO’sattentionwasthe five notes
sequence wasveryclearandcommunicatedwhichworked. Wheneveryone atthe site
gatheredaround,Icouldsee the cast shadow objectdisconnectedbecausetheircastshadows
were nolongerconnectedrightinfrontof them.WatchingthisclipI alsonoticedhow the
orientationof time tookpartinthe scene betweenthe UFO’sandthe scientists.ItisOutdoor
lluminationwhere ittakesplace inthe nightandskiesare verydarker.Anotherouter
orientationisspatial orientationwhere we saw the lightingof the UFO’S,andthat italso floats
inthe air.All inall,I say thatthe scene Close Encountersof the ThirdKindwasveryentertaining
and made me thinkmore aboutthe lightingandsoundeffects. Iwouldrecommendthe clips
of the movie oreventhe entire movie towatchthroughitcarefullyandlookforwhatstands
out inthose scenes.
