The document describes Willy Wonka's candy factory as a cell, with different parts of the factory analogous to organelles in a cell. The factory contains a heavily guarded perimeter fence and membrane to control access. Within is the Cytoplasmic building for candy making, Chloroplastic sugarmakers to produce sugar, Cytoskeletonic posts to support the fence, Golgi docks for packaging and shipping candy, Laundry lysosomes for cleaning, Mitochondrial ovens to heat sugar into candy, a Nuclear envelope building for recipe development, and large Sugar vacuoles warehouses to store candy. Willy Wonka oversees all operations as the Nucleolus.
2. Guarded Perimeter Membrane
The membrane has three major purposes.
• To allow any supplies going in through the
gates through
• To control spies from getting into the factory
and stealing is candy recipes
• To keep the umpalumpas inside the factory to
continue working
3. Heavily Guarded Fence
This fence surrounds the entire factory. It helps
keep the size of the factory in check not allowing
it to get any larger. It also helps distinguish the
boundry of the factory and not let it get
confused with another factory.
4. Cytoplasmic Building
This is where the candy making occurs. It
provides a safe area where Mr. Wonka can
experiment new candies inside of the perimiter
membrane.
6. Cytoskeletonic Posts
They help the guarded perimeter fence stay in
its normal shape. The reason for this is that
sometimes the factory may get a strong wind
and try to blow down the fence. With the posts
the fence cannot move.
7. Golgi Docks
This is where the candy is packaged and
shipped. This is a very important part of the
factory because this is how the candy gets to the
customer.
8. Laundry Lysosomes
The lysosomes are in charge of doing all the
laundry of the umpapulpas. They also are called
in when a section of the factory needs to be
replaced they take away all the rubble.
9. Mitochondrial Ovens
This is where the sugar is heated and converted
into candy. The candy is then exported out of
the factory.
10. Nuclear Envelope Building
This is where Mr. Willy Wonka conspires the
recipes of new candies. His office is located
inside of this building.
11. Willy Wonka aka the Nucleolus
Willy Wonka is the man in charge of everything
that occurs within the factory. He tells the each
section of the factory its job is. He also likes to
help distinguish his factory form most other
candy factories.
12. Nucleus Office
This is where Mr. Wonka makes all his plans for
his factory and assigns tasks form all the cell
parts.
13. Ribosomes
These are attached to the rough endoplasmic
reticulum. They contain trucks to transport
materials in and out of the cell. They also make
wrappers for the candies.
14. Smooth ER
The smooth ER is located next to the rough ER. It
makes storage bins which help to store excess
candy throughout the factory.
15. Rough ER
The rough ER is located near the smooth ER. It
contains a receiving side and an exporting side.
It has ribosomes on it that make wrappers for
the candies and contain trucks to ship them out.
16. Sugar Vacuoles
They are large warehouses that hold all the
sugar and candy prior to distribution.
These warehouses are very large, for they take
up half of the entire factory. They are so large
because if for some reason the factory has to
shut down they can still meet the global
demand for candy,
