1. How long have you known the applicant and under what circumstances.
I worked with Sergeant Rolens since April 2006 consecutively till January 2010. We have both
served honorably in the United States Army, for which I was his immediate supervisor for
approximately one year. During this one year, we served in combat in, any and all, adverse
conditions
2. What are the applicant’s strengths?
Nate's' strengths are his maturity and integrity. He has the ability to think intellectually in any
situation. He has the natural ability to work professionally and without supervision. His ability
to work with any diverse group has shown to be a great asset to any team or organization. When
put in a leadership position, he excels with group that he leads.
3. What are the applicant’s weaknesses?
I had to think about this one. Nate does not have any immediate weaknesses that come to mind.
Because of his passion to accomplish all tasks to above standard performance, Nate might try to
undertake more than he is ready for at times. Although this is not really a weakness, knowing
ones limitations is accomplished with experience.
4. Additional information.
Nate always seemed to impress those that work with him. Whether we were working day by day
or just a brief encounter, his professionalism and respect was always noteworthy. He is a quick
learner and is always looking to be challenged physically and mentally. He is a great
compliment to any organization and will strive for excellence.
