2. CAVERNOUS HEMANGIOMA
โข In this image, the axial (top)
and coronal (bottom) CT
scans show a well-
demarcated intraconal mass
behind the left globe.
โข The mass is a cavernous
venous malformation.
3. CAPILLARY HEMANGIOMA
โข On CT, the lesion shows a low flow prominence with
no disturbance of surrounding tissue and no bony
erosion.
4. ORBITAL LYMPHOMA
In this image, the first coronal CT scan (left) shows a homogeneous mass
conforming to the globe (red arrow).
The second coronal CT scan (center) shows a well-demarcated mass in the
right lacrimal gland fossa (blue arrow).
The axial CT scan (right) shows a homogenous lacrimal fossa mass
conforming to the right globe (yellow arrow).
5. RETINOBLASTOMA
โข Over 80% of tumours show
calcification.
โข The degree of calcification
appeared to depend upon
tumor size; only small
tumors were devoid of
calcification.
7. OPTIC NERVE GLIOMA
The optic nerves are well
demonstrated by high-resolution
computed tomography.
Involvement of the optic nerve by
optic gliomas and optic nerve sheath
meningiomas is well known.
8. OPTIC NERVE SHEATH
MENINGIOMA
The CT shows an isoattenuated
intraconal orbital mass surrounding
the left optic nerve with punctuate
calcification.
TRIPLE SIGN can be seen.
9. DERMOIDS
On CT, a dermoid typically
has a hyper-dense wall and
a hypo-dense cavity which
remains non-enhancing with
contrast.
10. EPIDERMOID
On computed tomography (CT)
scans, the majority of epidermoid
cysts are hypodense and not
enhanced with contrast material as
cystic contents are normally filled
with debris, keratin, water, and
cholesterol.
