2. ADog lived with his family near the blank of a
river. One day , he decided to go for a walk
along the riverbank.

3. Before he left home, the Dog s’ Mother said, Son’’,
don t’ go too close to the river . It is full of
monster that eat living beings .’’ The Dog
prom- ised to be carefully.

4. After walking a few miles on the blanks , the Dog
felt thirsty. He wanted to drink water from
from the river. However, he remembered his
mother s’ advice and did not go near the river.

5. A cunning crocodile was watching the dog . He
wanted to eat him.

6. The crocodile said, Come ’’and have a drink, my
friend’’.

7. However , the dog did not go near the water. The
crocodlie called him again, ‘’I wanted to be
your friend . I will be good to you. Come close
and accept my friendship’’.

8. The Dog replied,’’ You are a monster . I
don’t want to be friend .’’

9. Saying this, he ran home and told his
mother about the crocodile

10. The Dog’s Mother said, Son’’ you should never
make friends with strangers . I am glad you
listened to my ad- vice.’’
