The Constitution of India is the document that sets out the rules for the country's system of government. It was framed by the Constituent Assembly under the leadership of Dr. Rajendra Prasad as President and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar as Chairman of the drafting committee. The Preamble sets out the guiding purposes and principles of the Constitution, including justice, liberty, equality and promoting fraternity. The Constitution guarantees certain fundamental rights to all citizens of India like equality, freedom of religion, and right to constitutional remedies. It also outlines fundamental duties of citizens.
