2. Liquor Violations
• The University of Connecticut
Annual Security and Fire
Safety report says that leading
cause of campus reports and
arrests are liquor violations.
• According to the report, in
2011 there were 572 referrals
and 45 arrests for liquor
violations.

3. Drug Violations
• Not surprisingly, the second
most common reports and
arrests are due to drug
violations.
• In 2011 there were 174 drug
violation arrests.
• The annual report says that the
majority of the arrests took
place in residence halls.

4. Burglary
• The third most common offense
is burglary.
• In 2011 there were 54 offenses of
Burglary on the UConn Campus.
• According to the annual report
burglary is defined as the
unlawful entry of a structure to
commit a felony or a theft.
• The majority of the offenses were
committed in Residence Halls or
other on campus locations.

5. Forcible Sexual Assault
• The fourth most common offense is
forcible sexual assault
• According to the annual report
forcible sexual assault is defined as
any sexual act directed against
another person, forcibly and/or
against that person’s will; or not
forcibly or against the person’s will
where the victim is incapable of
giving consent
• Most sexual assault attacks go
unreported, so the actual number
of offenses may be higher.

6. Weapons Violations
• The fifth most common offense
are weapons violations
• According to the annual report
there have been 6 arrests for
weapons violations this past year.
• The majority of the offenses took
place on campus or on public
property.
