I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Monica Midori Fukuda, who attended a full-time
course in General and Business English language at EF Bristol from 1l10112016Io 1010612016.
I have known Monica for the past 6 months as she has attended my General English class. As her teacher,
I have had an opporlunity to observe her participation and interaction in class and to evaluate her
knowledge, performance and skills. Monica is an outstanding and dedicated student in all respects, who
invariably contributes in class and who has made markedly impressive progress during her time at the
school. This was recognized in her nomination for, and achievement of the Most Improied Student award
this year.
I feel very lucky to have witnessed such a high standard of presentations with my group over the last year
but Monica delivered a particularly original presentation on the delicate subject of aizheimer's Disease
which I felt compelled to nominate for the First Class Presentqtion award. As well as an incredibly
professionai-looking presentation, visually, Monica chose to integrate her own personal story witit
informative material on the development of the disease. As well as linguistically outstanding - Monica
was aware of her weaknesses and worked hard to combat them in this presentation - the content of her
presentation left me most moved. Indeed, Monica is no stranger to willfully leaving her comfort zone and
reaps the benefits of every occasion to do so. Whether it is an attempt to write u .r*tiu" story or deliver a
persuasive argument in a debate, I have seen a conscious effort on her parl to improve her confidence and
accuracy each time a task is set before her.
I feel confident that Monica is well-equipped to grow from any challenges that she may be presented with.
Her diligence, risk-taking nature and most dedicated work ethic stand her in excelleni stead to undeftake
further academic study. I, therefore, wholeheartedly endorse her application to the University of the West
