The target audience of the soap opera trailer I am creating is 12-19 year olds, as well as current teachers that may have issues within school life, so they can find ways of trying improve their own school life.

12-19 Year Old Students, which are currently in or have
recently left school life. Also current teachers which would
like to see what other schools are life, but also how to
maybe deal with certain situations.

2. Teachers will be able to
relate to the teachers, which
appear in the show because
of the ‘personal
identification’ (Katz) and the
struggles of being a teacher.
Consequently, teachers as
well as my target audience
may decide to watch the
show.

Students may watch
the show because of
their age (Hartley) and
also be able to create a
‘personal relationship’
(Katz) with the
characters due to
personal experiences of
being in school.

Team players may
decide to watch ‘The
Academy’ because their
will be team
participation in the
trailer; this can link to
self-actualization
(Maslow) as they will
feel wanted and will
also want to progress.

The image portrays a
current issue within
school societies, which
some viewers may want
for the characters to be
‘survivors’ (Katz) in the
hard times young people
face.
