5. • PM Monitoring & Coordination Cell was
established in March 2011 and is
accommodated at the Prime Minister's
Secretariat.
• Further this cell is divided into Provincial Task
Forces headed by the Chief Secretaries and
Security Coordination Committees at the
provincial level.
6. • National Islamic Advisory Group (NIAG) Pakistan also
urges religious leaders and communities to protect and
cooperate with front line health workers.
• Main challenge faced by the program was insecurity and
distance. With the success of operation Zarb-i-Azab and
many operations against extremists by law enforcement
agencies, plus support provided by them in
implementation of the campaign.
• Increasing quality of all polio eradication activities;
including campaigns, AFP Surveillance and routine
vaccination.
8. • Rotary International is the world's first and largest
humanitarian service organization, Rotary was the first to
have the vision of a polio-free world.
• International organization like WHO, UNICEF, etc. Are
helping to eradicate polio from Pakistan’s by distributing
polio vaccines and putting hard work to eradicate polio.
• The Canadian government is historically one of the
largest contributor to Global Polio Eradication Initiative
they are providing financial assistance to finish polio.
• Islamic Development Bank has guaranteed support for
polio eradication in Pakistan with a US$227 million loan
that will allow the country to run eradication programs.
