Profession Responsibilities & Duties Digest:
 Provide technical support to the rig, insuring reliability and efficiency of all equipment’s on
board.
 Provide advice for applying preventive, predictive, corrective, unscheduled and time based
maintenance.
 Manage rig new projects installation, modifications and upgrades on board while assigned to
drilling operation timing.
 Execute commissioning, initial startup and spud in operation for new builds. Modifications and
new installations in ship yard, beside initial startup.
 Provide all kind of technical support for maintenance and operation of all mechanical
and electrical equipment’s and systems deployed at rig to increase reliability.
 Follow up all maintenance inspections done on board including carrying out tests, calculations,
and treatments, verifying mechanical/electrical isolation, and lock out or tag out for right,
correct and safe procedures to be done.
 Participated in putting the maintenance program (check points and intervals for scheduled
checks), schedules and planning for major overhauls.
 Insure applying the pre-planned and preventive maintenance program (PM’s - ORACLE) as
company procedure and correctly, doing failure analysis and cause root reports.
 Maintain, follow up and update rig class certificates, drilling equipment’s certificates and
maintenance records.
 Maintain spare parts inventory.
 Lead monitoring, operating, schedule service and major overhaul for main & emergency diesel
engines. Engine types CAT 3500, 3400, 3300 families & D399. Experienced working with
Cummins and EMD’s engines.
 Managing all offshore rig drilling equipment as Top Drive, Draw works, Mud Pumps,
BOP closing unit, BOP( SHAFFE and CAMERON With different sizes), iron roughneck, pip-
racking, Bridge-Racker & other auxiliary equipment's for daily inspections, routine
maintenance and major overhauling.
 Worked with CANRIG, NOV and VARCO top drives, TTS, IDECO and NOV draw works.
EWECO (Weatherford), NOV and IDECO mud pump.
