3. Schizophrenia is defined as
โข Distorted perceptions of thoughts and
behaviors
โข Inappropriate emotions or reactions
โข Confusion
4. Four Subtypes of Schizophrenia
โข Paranoid
โ Delusions of grandeur or persecutions, often
accompanied by hallucinations
โข Catatonic
โ Non reaction to the environment, extreme
negativism, or wild agitation
5. Four Subtypes of Schizophrenia
โข Disorganized
โ Disorganized speech, flattened or inappropriate
emotion
โข Undifferentiated
โ Varied symptoms between the first three subtypes
7. Deadpool (Wade Wilson)
โข A character from Marvel Comics
โข Diagnosed with terminal cancer throughout
his entire body
โข Assassin
โข Becomes part of The Weapon X program and
is turned into an mutilated immortal assassin
โข Is schizophrenic because of tragic life
9. Connection
โข He is the only comic book character that
knows he is in a comic book
โข Is known to have intense and sometimes
sarcastic conversations with himself
โข Over reactive/inappropriate emotions and
reactions
โ Ones killed a man for saying the prequel Star Wars
movies were better than the original trilogy
movies
10. Connection
โข Always paranoid that the people that turned
him into Deadpool (The Canadian
Government) is after him, so he basically kills
anybody that is too close for him to feel
comfortable
โข He is his own best friend in the most twisted
sort of way
13. My Take
Deadpool is the greatest (my opinion) and most
tragic comic book character. He is constantly
fighting within himself whether he can ever be
safe or normal. He canโt have a normal
relationship with anybody because not only of
his dismembered face and body, but because
he is also always conversing with himself in
the most inappropriate settings; he thinks
everybody else can hear him talking to
himself.
14. My Take
This is a very illustrative
way that psychology is
used n media.
Unfortunately, the
movie Deadpool will
not feature any
schizophrenia, so to see
any of the real and
tragic Deadpool, look to
the comics.
