interpreted in a broad sense, including pigments, stones, metals, glass, ceramics, chemometrics on
artwork studies, resins, fibers, forensic applications in art history, archaeology and conservation
science.

-The aim of this course was to present the Atapuerca discoveries and their impact in human
evolutionary studies by the hand of a group of researches directly involved in the research project. The
course was given by specialist in paleontology and paleoanthropology of the Atapuerca Research
Project that works at the Laboratory of Human Evolution (www.ubu.es/leh) at the University of Burgos
and the Museun of Human Evolution of Burgos. The course consisted in lectures and discussion
sessions with the professors, practices in the Museum of Human Evolution and the Archaeological
theme park, and visit to the sites with the specialists.
