◊ Any subject possible as long as it fits
into one of the prescribed areas of
investigation
◊ Virtually the same as current FS4……
but different

◊ Should stem from interest, from passion
◊ Should be focused and (relatively) narrow
◊ Should be framed as an area of investigation
rather than a question
◊ Should be limited by self-designed
parameters

◊ Star/performer
◊ Genre
◊ Auteur (in its broadest sense)
◊ Social, political, and cultural studies
◊ Gender issues
◊ Ethnicity
◊ Institution

Assessment elements
◊ Annotated catalogue of approximately
10-15 items (depending on the
complexity of the subject)
◊ A presentation script of approximately
1500 words (+/- 10%)

◊ Must demonstrate chosen context

◊ MUST be clearly written for a
presentation (not an essay)
◊ Should utilise extracts (from films and
research material) as a presentation
tool
◊ May be presented in an audio-video
format, but accompanied by printed
‘script’
