1. Draw a window for yourself
My eyes only can see a little and my arms couldn’t be straight when I was
born. My mom has always told me,
“If God close your door, he will open a window for you.”
“Window, where is the window?” I thought.
Every day at school, my class mates called me “rubbish” for I couldn’t see
the class board and finish the exam papers. Every day, when they brought out
their homework proudly, I said that I had only finished a little. I felt very lonely
and unconfident. When classes over, when they were playing together with
funny games, I could only stand in the classroom and see how happy they were.
“Let’s find the window mom.”
“Which window?”
“The window God gave us.”
“Oh, no problem.”
From that day, I began to attend school for half a day. I began to find a more
proper way for studying.
In fact, I met really a lot of troubles at first. I thought that English is very
important to communicate with people and share ideas with them, so I want to
begin improving it a lot. But, I really don’t how to do that. I think about it for a
long time and finally I thought that language is just talking and speaking. So, I
began with saying hello to the foreigners everywhere I met. I try to use my brave
and a few knowledges to learn English through “speaking”. But soon, I found
that its impossible to learn English well without checking the pronunciation, so
I began to find tapes to follow. In the mid-summer, when other boys are playing
in the cool swimming pools, I stayed at home and read the passages in the
book with the tapes again and again. Although my mouth was so tire that I
couldn’t speak anymore after that, my throat was too painful to make any
voice, I was still using my last sort of power to bear the uncomfortable
feelings and try to read them better and better. Hard work pays off,
finally, I could speak English just like my mother language!
I love music for I can feel deeply and strong emotions from it. It’s the best
way to express my deeply mind. I began to learn piano from six years old. But
during the journey, I met many terrible situations. I could hardly read the music
score. My arms looked really ugly when I was trying to begin with piano playing.
The standard posture of piano playing would make me very uncomfortable. But,
I was still going, I am still trying my best to play every piece good enough. When
everyone was watching TVs, when everyone was taking a break in their homes.
I was practicing the pieces again and again. But, I still couldn’t understand the
true meaning of the music, I could only “struck” the keys but “telling” the moving
stories hided in the music, behind the notes and chords. Then, miraculously, I
met a really kindly and teacher which full of wisdom and deeply feelings. I learnt
how to process pieces of music, how to use the notes to show my ideas and
deeply mind.
2. Every day, my life began more and more meaningful, my heart became
more and more powerful. I learnt how to use screen reader on computers, how
to edit documents on computers and how to connect with others on computers.
Then, more and more people began to know me and began to teach me on
internet. I began to learn more languages; I began with English mathematics
learning. I began to learn singing and it has become my favorite hobby and
being an opera singer has become my biggest dream! I know I can’t write things
on paper fast enough, then I began to try to write everything on computer. I
know I can’t see the class board, then I learned everything through reading
books by myself! If I had any problems, I can use my computer to ask everyone
online. If I wanted to check out whether I could fully understand this sort of
knowledges, then I can write a summary and sent it to the teachers.
I didn’t feel lonely anymore, I found that God has given me the most
beautiful window in the world! Now, I think that God will not really open a window
for you by himself, but teach you how to build a window.
Every time when I was invited to give a speech at school, I will tell everyone
to be a creative person. You must try to discover your talent every time; you
have to draw windows anywhere you need!
In fact, everything is decidedby your own attitude. If you get some problems,
then try to find another way to get the purpose without it. If God closes a door
of you and forget to open a window for you, then draw one!
为自己画一扇窗
我的眼睛只可以看到一点点，当我出生的时候，我的手臂不能直。我妈妈总
是告诉我，
"如果上帝关上你的门，他将为你打开一个窗口"。
"窗口，该窗口在哪里?"我以为。
每天在学校里，我的同学们叫我"垃圾"不能看清类的黑板，并完成试卷。每
一天，当他们自豪地带来了他们的家庭作业，我说我已经做完只有一点。我感到
非常孤独和不自信。当在类，当他们在玩有趣的游戏，以及能只站在教室里，和
看到他们是多么幸福。
"让我们发现窗口妈妈"。
"哪个窗口?"
"窗口上帝给了我们"。
