OPENING STATEMENT
As of today, I am making an incredible commitment to my life and future. Morally and ethically
my strategy is to operate my daily routines, decisions, and actions to a much higher standard than
ever before. This provides me the ability to raise my own inner strength, self-worth, emotional
well-being, and independence, to contour and maintain the individual I’ve always driven to be.
BACKGROUND/INTRODUCTION
My personal values include leading by example, practicing what I preach, not expecting more
than I’m willing or able to do myself from others. My beautiful daughter, Kassandra, has been
my inspiration regarding these morals and ethics. As a single mother for several years during her
life, she has looked up to my actions, decisions, and directions, causing me to become her
mother, father, brother, sister, and best friend all in one. She was unable to count on any form of
consistency from her father and looked to me for that stability. So I arranged counselling to
ensure other forms of consistency and structure, besides school, daycare, and home life with me.
As this became clearer, I could see my actions playing out in her as the years went by. I put my
all into everything I did. At the age of 13, Kassandra was becoming overwhelmed, she had
experienced so much more than a normal child her age and it was finally taking its toll. She was
able to open up and express her emotions in writing. Unfortunately, her friends had a difficult
time understanding her and still do today. In 2013, Kassandra became suicidal, wanting to end
her life and had even determined an actual date.
Kassandra has completed various programs with Lakeridge Health Oshawa, CAMH in Toronto,
Ontario Shores in Whitby, counselling with Durham Family Services, Frontenac Youth Services,
Denise House, and Durham Board of Education. She just completed her grade 12 at the Center

for Success, completed her full G license, has been accepted to Durham College for ECE in
September, turned 18 and finished her treatments with Dr. Sperber, her orthodontist. The hard
work, goal seeking, determination, and constant efforts Kassandra has used to her advantage,
achieving new heights in today’s tough world has proven to me, that I have made the best
investment of all! Bringing such a beautiful woman into this world, I want to be as strong and
independent as her!
Proving to me that a bump in the road may redirect us for a short time, but not for a long time,
when we set goals with a final destination in mind… So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, seek
guidance and start making that major investment in yourself. The rewards are endless!

communication, courage, trust, calmness and the ability to deal with anything that comes your
way.
Confidence is extremely important to me because as an Operations Manager in a large company
setting, I must be trained, experienced, knowledgeable, and secure in my daily responsibilities
and final decisions in order to receive the respect from my coworkers. Maintaining inner-
strength, provides determination, goal setting, goal achievement, overall satisfaction regularly in
a calm, respectful manner to everyone around me all of the time. Allowing the ability for
additional growth, strength and capabilities throughout. Setting an example necessary in today’s
world.
DISCIPLINE
Discipline is following structure, within guidelines, and expectations necessary to fulfill various
responsibilities and obligations necessary. Proving that you are dedicated, self-disciplined and
able to conquer within expectations and challenges with ease.
Discipline is a form of guidance, setting expectations, goals, and strategies necessary for my own
inner growth. With self-control I will meet deadlines, expectations, achievements, and fulfill
daily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines with ease. Providing my employment position, my
co-workers and the business with the competitive strategy necessary in today’s highly
competitive world. This provides my managers and owners with trust in me, allowing additional
growth, responsibility, reliability, dependability and team satisfaction throughout.
OVERALL INDEPENDENCE
Overall Independence is the ability of fulfilling all personal needs necessary for one’s own inner
definition, and feeling of freedom. Allowing the opportunity for decisions, outcomes, results,

that provide individualism. Financial Independence is the ability to make economic decisions
alone, individually. Not requiring loans, mortgages, borrowing or within reason.
Overall Independence and Financial Independence provide me the freedom to expand beyond my
current situation and move forward in new directions, economically, physically, and emotionally.
Providing overall confidence necessary for determination, self-respect, resilience, and ability to
cope during difficult times, such as illness, or loss. Allowing the ability to nurture my family,
friends, co-workers, and workplace when needed. This provides an unbreakable bond,
resilience, and strength to a united front, establishing additional development.
PEACE
Peace is an act of calming, tranquility, ease, quiet and inner satisfaction. Normally consisting of
Harmony & Happiness. The act of being at rest with one’s self.
Peace would allow me the ability to move passed negativity that has taken place in my past.
Allowing me the strength to move forward with ease, confidence, inner strength, determination
and discipline. Being at peace with myself and the world around me provides the most
exceptional strength of all, the ability to forgive and forget. As an employee, parent, spouse and
friend, forgiveness is the ability to see the good, as every action truly has a purpose. Mistakes
are a way of learning, forgiveness provides understanding and the ability to forget allowing you
to move on. This is truly necessary every moment in every day of everyone’s life. This provides
us with the ability of evolution.

SELF-WORTH
Self-Worth allows one the feeling of self-esteem, self-confidence, self-respect, inner worth, and
value. The feeling of being good or bad, deserving of good or bad things, can be positive or
negative overall.
Positive Self-Worth would pull me out of the shell I went into when my daughter took ill. It
would allow my self-esteem to prosper and flourish in the ways necessary for additional
expansion and growth. The ability of increasing my self-esteem would provide me the
competitive edge when I have completed my educational upgrading to achieve all of my dreams
and goals once lost while maintaining my morals. It will preserve my current ethics while
establishing newer more powerful ones in my daily actions. Leading by example, showing
respect, and determining a new way of life in the years ahead. Showing my daughter that self-
esteem is necessary for all at any age, providing well-being in one’s own body. Health is
recognized by the way we feel within, and the results of our actions prove this, at school, at
work, at home, etc.
EVALUATION OF PROGRESS
At this stage in my life, I have faced several unexpected situations that have shown me
redirection is sometimes necessary in order to refocus and recalculate. While continuing on my
current path, I plan to grow personally and professionally using my personal code of ethics as my
guide. I will encounter new ethical dilemmas that will test my code and push it to its limits,
possibly causing change. Change is necessary to establish purpose and determine direction
within ourselves. I will revise and expand upon this document where and when necessary, as

frequently as required in order to encourage, maintain, and provide the end result I really want
and deserve!
I will revisit my personal code of ethics immediately on the first feeling of low self-esteem and
self-worth to see what is immediately necessary to offset the negativity. As these two will be the
beginning of the balance throughout my morals and ethics. Balance is critical and therefore my
personal code of ethics should be revisited on a monthly basis to continuously improve, modify,
and establish the healthiest possible end result, Me.
CONCLUSION
My personal code of ethics will allow me to focus on the end result that I must achieve to
become the individual I am striving for. Allowing me to face ethical dilemmas effortlessly,
effectively while maintaining inner strength and satisfaction continuously. With the various
values, morals, ethics, and beliefs that have been embedded in me throughout my life by my
parents, family, educational institutions, and friends, I feel that my personal code of ethics will
contribute to my development unconditionally. Providing the balance throughout my life,
family, friends, and employment endeavors. Forwarding me into the direction I have been
seeking, while accommodating my emotional well-being throughout.
