The document summarizes the culture in Dubai across four sections. It describes how Dubai transformed from a small fishing village to a global city in just 48 years through urbanization and providing opportunities for residents, visitors, and investors. Dubai is known for its luxurious aesthetics including the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, and hotels. Values in Dubai emphasize modesty and strict adherence to Islamic practices. While Dubai has a tolerant culture, it maintains traditional beliefs. Americans living abroad in Dubai benefit from tax incentives and opportunities in its growing economy.

14. REMEMBER TO ROR...
People have a preconceived notion about Dubai until they actually visit. Because it is in
the middle East, it is assumed that they are misogynistic and violent. In reality, Dubai is
actually full of peaceful people who don’t want to do wrong. We know that cultures are
thrown into the same pot as similar cultures; however, we should do better at not assuming
they are all the same because of their general location.
➢ Research on a culture
➢ Be open-minded to meeting the people of that culture
➢ Respect the culture no matter what
