Dear employer,
I am an unlicensedclinician seekingafull-time position as a behavioral program manager in the
Sacramento area. I moved from New Hampshire to Long Beach in 2013 after graduating from Antioch
UniversityNewEnglandwith my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC). I am in
the processof applying foranLPCC (Licensed ProfessionalClinical Counselor) internnumberthroughthe
CaliforniaBoardof Behavioral Sciences. Althoughthe LMFT(LicensedMarriage & Family Therapist) may
be a more prevalenttitle,Iwould like to pursue the newer LPCC because it is more congruent with my
CMHC degree. Iconsidermy therapeutic approach to be a holistic blend, grounded in the principles of
cognitive-behavioral therapy(CBT), strength-based,andtrauma-focusedperspectives.Additionally, I am
proficient in family therapy.
I have two and a half yearsof experience providingin-home behavioralsupportforchildrenwith
autismand theirfamiliesthroughEasterSealsSouthernCA AutismServices.Iprovidedin-home support
for participants(ages18 months-22years) in compliance with insurance-authorized direct and indirect
billable hours. I was also responsible for program development, intake and progress assessments,
employeedevelopment, and caregiver education on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. My
case load shifted between 10 and 12 participants and families. I also conducted interviews twice
monthlyforthose applyingasbehaviorinterventionists, facilitatedteammeetings on a rotational basis,
and created and managed my monthly schedule.
It is so rewarding to witness each day how a dedicated team can support families towards
increasing the independence of their loved ones with autism. I know firsthand of the triumphs and
struggles, as my big brother has autism. I am so proud to be a part of his story, and the stories of the
familiesIsupporteveryday.Ienjoy meetingthe creative challenge of individualizing treatment plans to
satisfy the unique needs of each family, and this will make me a valuable asset to your team.
Thank you for taking the time to review my resume.
Warm Regards,
Meghan J. Roth, MA CMHC, LPCC in progress
