Classic rock from "Chicago!" Everyone has wanted to do this horn-driven chart at one time or another, and now you
can even do it with your young jazzers! Kids will latch on to the hard-hitting bass line right away, and your band will
take off from there!

This chart is hot! Few artists cross generational lines like Santana, so both your students and audience will love this
killer jazz-rock piece. With the clearly notated Latin rock groove in the rhythm section parts, modest brass ranges,
and written solos, your band can really sell it.

Who can forget this hard-driving rock tune from "The Edgar Winter Group!" Trumpets and saxes trade phrases on the
head, and the full ensemble takes it on the chorus. Includes written or ad lib solos for trumpet and/or guitar over easy

This is a really unique number for your Christmas concert. The ever-popular Latin-rock styled holiday tune ("Feliz
Navidad" means "Merry Christmas" in Spanish) has been skillfully arranged with young jazz ensembles in mind. No
solos. It's playable with reduced instrumentation and sure to be the hit of your holiday concert!

Featuring the classic dance tunes Let's Groove, Boogie Wonderland and Sing A Song, here's a fun medley of hits
from "Earth, Wind & Fire." The infectious groove and signature horn licks make this a great choice for young players!
Arranged for full jazz ensemble, it's also playable by 4 saxes, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, piano, bass and drums.

Composed by Duke Ellington and arranged by jazz arranger and transcriber, David Berger, Limbo Jazz is a calypso-
swing for the younger player. Based on the simple chord progression to Happy Birthday, the rhythm section plays a
simple even eighth note, limbo/Latin style and the winds play with a slight swing feel and it all comes together just
right! There's some neat plunger mute work too. This chart includes accessible ranges and written solos for alto sax,
trumpet and trombone along with great fun and history. It also includes optional, nontraditional parts for participation
by your concert band members. Way cool! Very highly recommended!

From the movie "The Polar Express," Hot Chocolate is hot stuff! A fun swinger in a jump style, it's loaded with energy,
based on the original recording and has been skillfully adapted for the young player. There are no solos, the ranges
are modest and a driving bass line makes it move along. To make this chart flexible for all year, the arranger offers
two endings: one with a clever and effective modulation to a Jingle Bells quote and one without. Highly
recommended!

  Berry ME Spring
  2011
Recorded by "The Association" in 1967, this tune became one of the signature ballads of the decade! This nicely
scored chart features a trombone solo, the trombone section, and a solo for alto saxophone. The underlying rock
pulse gives this arrangement added life and a nice groove. This one is a real crowd pleaser!

  Phelps Cojarco
  Music ME
This Latin original in calypso style features a tuneful melody that is supported by an interesting chord progression
with solid orchestration. Aside from being a good learning experience, this one will be a real crowd pleaser with its
infectious and happy sound. Though this chart contains great learning material, it's simply fun to play and will leave
the band and the audience whistling the melody. Take your band and audience on an island excursion with this
delightful chart!
Traces David
  Wolpe Low-‐Sal ME
What a stunning opportunity for your trombone soloist! That smooth 'bone sound is perfect for this beautiful pop
ballad, and the range is perfect for a lead high school player, mostly up to A's and a few Bb's. Highlighted from start
to finish, the soloist is never overshadowed, and soars above the tasty ensemble accompaniment, which is really not
difficult. A brief ad lib section can be played from suggested solos. If you've got the player, then you really need to
give them a shot at this one!

So funky it could make a reindeer dance! It's got a "hook" that just won't quit and your students will just love it!
Playable with limited instrumentation, it has an open solo section over easy changes for soloists of your choice. If
Santa really does have a list, and he's checking it twice, this super chart is bound to be on it!

Don't miss out on this one...it's amazingly easy to play and unusually effective! This excellent chart is a fresh
approach to four Christmas classics: Joy To The World; The First Noel; God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen and Silent
Night. The carols are tastefully embellished as the medley moves through different jazz styles, but things never get
too heavy. This chart is incredibly useful, and it's probably just what you've been looking for to round out your holiday
program!

With the clearly notated Latin rock groove in the rhythm section parts, modest brass ranges, and written solos, your band can really sell it. Free  Ride Dan  Hartman Michael  Sweeney EMI  Blackwood  Music E Who can forget this hard-driving rock tune from "The Edgar Winter Group!" E This is a really unique number for your Christmas concert. The ever-popular Latin-rock styled holiday tune ("Feliz Navidad" means "Merry Christmas" in Spanish) has been skillfully arranged with young jazz ensembles in mind. No solos. Earth,  Wind  &  Fire  Dance  Mix Paul  Murtha E Winter  2008 Featuring the classic dance tunes Let's Groove, Boogie Wonderland and Sing A Song, here's a fun medley of hits from "Earth, Wind & Fire." The infectious groove and signature horn licks make this a great choice for young players! Arranged for full jazz ensemble, it's also playable by 4 saxes, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, piano, bass and drums. Limbo  Jazz Duke  Ellington David  Berger Tempo  Music E Spring  2007 Composed by Duke Ellington and arranged by jazz arranger and transcriber, David Berger, Limbo Jazz is a calypso- swing for the younger player. Based on the simple chord progression to Happy Birthday, the rhythm section plays a simple even eighth note, limbo/Latin style and the winds play with a slight swing feel and it all comes together just right! There's some neat plunger mute work too. This chart includes accessible ranges and written solos for alto sax, trumpet and trombone along with great fun and history. It also includes optional, nontraditional parts for participation by your concert band members. Way cool! Very highly recommended! Hot  Chocolate Mike  Lewis E From the movie "The Polar Express," Hot Chocolate is hot stuff! A fun swinger in a jump style, it's loaded with energy, based on the original recording and has been skillfully adapted for the young player. There are no solos, the ranges are modest and a driving bass line makes it move along. Like the title says, this is high impact all the way! It's dazzling jazz rock that has the contemporary sound reminiscent of the music of Bill Chase. The brasses get a good workout, but it's worth every note. The guitar solo (also cued in the keyboard) is written in A to let the guitarist solo in a comfortable key. An excellent choice for festival and contest! Highly recommended! Jazz  Music  Library
