We were indecisive of whether it should be a thriller or horror, but in the
end we decided none of us would have the skills to create convincing
blood and makeup for our actors, which we would have wanted in the
horror theme. It was clear that the thriller would be chosen.

inspired by another film, ‘The Box’

he plays the DVD he finds that his wife has been held hostage
