Med-Assist Uganda is a Medical assistance company registered in Uganda. It
is operated by medical professionals with broad knowledge base in Trauma
and Critical care and vast experience in Medical Insurance.
The company was established in response to Medical Assistance services
required by travellers with foreign Insurances, Local and International
Insurance companies. We provide medical care and Assistance services, the
primary goal being to get the maximum benefit and highest quality of care
for a patient/client which is cost effective.
SERVICES
1. Medical Case Management for Insurance companies and other
organizations with self –run medical schemes. This is proactive care
which is part of Risk management. This includes
 Needs assessment of patient/client together with the treating
Doctors or health professionals
 Overseeing patient care and discharges,
 Coordinating appropriate referrals and seeking second opinion,
 Acquiring medical equipment and supplies for patients when not
available at the provider facility.
All this is done with the goal of having the client get, timely and
appropriate care which is cost effective.
2. Inbound Travellers Medical Assistance- On behalf of foreign
insurances, for their clients we :
 Help in a medical emergency-Both Air and Ground Ambulances
 Payment of medical bills (Issue Guarantee Of Payment-GOP)
 Refills for lost or forgotten medication
 Getting a doctor’s referral, Medical Reports or a hospital
appointment
 Arranging for further vaccination

 Post hospitalization underwriting
4. Medical Claims verification and investigations for Insurance and other

Help uncover medical and insurance fraud .Findings are reported to
insurance companies and to regulatory authorities if the Insurance
wishes.
