1. A skilled, adaptable and motivated product designer with interests in furniture design and creating simple, minimalist
products. A main focus of my design is to allow the user to find out how something works, with the use of hints in the
design, and by linking a products aesthetic to its function.

SkillsThrough multiple projects ranging from reception
furniture, shower products, and motorcycle
accessories I have developed various skills and have
a personal interest in taking my knowledge of
Solidworks and Photoshop further, as well as
furthering my sketching skills. I feel
Solidworks/Photoshop are key to presenting an
idea or product at its best, as well as aiding in
manufacturing and assembly.
As a keen motorcyclist it made sense that my final
dissertation was based around riding. The main aim
of my dissertation was to develop a motorcycle
helmet to aid riders in wet weather. Through
multiple test phases, prototypes, and various design
changes the final outcome was a very unique
helmet design. In which inspiration was taken from
how wings and aircraft work, which ultimately led
to a helmet with a visor design resembling
something similar to a planes wing.
March 2014 Derby Museum
A one week brief, in which a small group of
designers were tasked with developing a new stool
for an exhibition opening in June 2014. Prototyping
and developing a design for manufacture were the
main aims of this project, with the bulk of time spent
testing and prototyping in order to produce a fully
working final model which is currently being used
within the Museum.
May 2012 Hawdon Russell
Working within a small team of Architects on various
projects, including a new build in which drawings
had to be produced using Autodesk software ready
for an approval meeting. Site visits were daily
occurrences checking progress and finalizing
dimensions, use of materials, and safety standards. A
key part to this experience was individual work,
taking an architects dimensional drawings and
transferring them into a digital format.
