I work as a lecturer in environmental management at the internationally renowned School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia, UK. My research focuses upon the use of policy appraisal and impact assessment instruments in environmental decision-making. I am particularly interested in the links between science, society and policy, and their influence upon and implications for environmental governance. Presently, I am researching environmental policy integration in development cooperation and the theory and effectiveness of strategic environmental assessment.
