The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) is the financial regulatory agency established in 1997 to regulate the corporate sector and capital markets in Pakistan, including stock exchanges, securities trading to prevent fraud, and the development of the capital markets. The SECP also now regulates insurance companies, non-banking financial companies, and private pensions. It aims to present consolidated financial statements for groups of companies as if they were a single economic entity according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 10.
