Primarily responsible for the production schedule of the Minerals and Materials Bi-Monthly Survey
and the “Annual Report to the Secretary” for the Office of Special Projects. Up until March 1986,
the Survey was consistently delivered month’s late, publication schedule was brought into alignment
within 3 months. Worked on the team writing and editing the Annual Report to the Secretary and
received a group monetary award. As a member of the management analysis team that formulated
and completed an analysis plan involving interviews with staff and managers Bureau-wide, traveled
to several satellite offices including Spokane, Washington and Avondale, Maryland to collect data.
With the team, analyzed data and produced a report for upper management.

Independently scheduled, developed deadlines and carried out assignments, coordinating work,
special projects and outreach efforts as necessary. Coordinated communications orally or written to

meetings with Congressional staff members, wrote and disseminated a weekly newsletter to BOM
