Marta Mancini successfully completed a 6-month internship with the LIFE+ Berlengas Project from October 2015 to April 2016. During this time, she contributed to several tasks including habitat recovery through removal of invasive plants and monitoring of native plant recolonization. She also assisted with monitoring of black rats, Cory's shearwaters, and shags through trapping, measuring, tagging, and assessing breeding success. At the office, she helped develop an environmental education campaign for school students about the project.
