  2. 2. About Caliburn Micro Caliburn Micro is a light weight open source micro-framework for Microsoft Silverlight, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Windows Phone 7. It is based on the mature Caliburn project and was created by Rob Eisenberg who made it public in July 2010. Caliburn Micro enables developers to build Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) applications in an easy and intuitive manner. It has number of features that are especially useful when building rich applications for WPF, Silverlight and Windows Phone 7. Among others, Caliburn Micro simplifies asynchronous programming, reduces the labor of property binding and commands and helps unify the programming models of Silverlight, WPF, and Windows Phone 7. In the following video, Nitin Shinde from Marlabs provides an overview to Caliburn Micro, introducing the key concepts and pillars of this framework. © 2011 Marlabs Inc.
