19. Perichondritis of the Auricle
It is the inflammation of perichondrium of
the auricular cartilage. Their is
subsequent collection of pus between
perichondrium and cartilage. It may result
cartilage necrosis and collapse of the
auricle.

# Following trauma
# Spread of infection from a furuncle
# May follow an operative procedure on
the ear
# following insect bite
29. Treatment
# In early stage, before collection of pus:
Systemic antibiotic.
# In late case: Incision & drainage of
abscess, debridement of necrotic cartilage.

Cerumen is the mixture of secretion of
ceruminous and sebaceous glands situated in
cartilaginous part of external auditory canal. It
also contain shedded epithelium and dust
particle

rubber etc.
b) Non vegetable- bead, stone,, paper,
battery, lead pencil, fragment of toys etc

Kill the insect first by instillation of oil
