1. Main Character - Adam Doherty:
Adam Doherty is a man in his late 30s who is a reformed character; he is now a successful business
man after being one of the main men in the IRA. He is successful, brave, speaks his mind and
honourable. He has short brown hair and his standard attire is a black suit showing his wealth,
power and success.
Villain – David McCarthy
David McCarthy is in his late 30s who is one of the top men in the IRA; he is a large sized man and is
respectful but also corrupt and evil he has a huge grudge against the way Doherty left Ireland and
became successful so has a strong hatred towards him. He is usually dressed in flat caps and long
coats he has short brown hair.
Doherty’s mother Anne-
She is in her late 70s and is a strong character, and very religious so loves her soon more than
anything and just wants him to do what’s right. She has Black hair scraped back and takes pride in
her appearance.
Doherty’s Brother Billy-
He is in his late 20s and has dark ginger hair, he is brave and honourable but can be easily influenced
therefore he is usually stuck in two minds on what to do and looks to other people for guidance. He
is still in the IRA but doesn’t agree to all of what they do. He is usually dressed in jumpers and jeans
or pants. He has some resentment towards his brother because of how he left but still loves him.
Rachel O’Reilly McCarthy’s wife, Doherty’s childhood sweetheart-
She is about 34/35 has long brown hair and is sweet natured kind and generous but also naive. She
believes that her husband is not doing any bad things but has some slight doubts. She takes pride in
her appearance but doesn’t dress up to glamorous. She still has feelings for Doherty but is scared of
leaving McCarthy.
