10. Solar Electricity For Commercial &
Residential Applications

full renewable energy solutions to generate electricity for
commercial & residential owners, either you want to reduce
your electricity bill, or going completely independent or
powering up your premises during blackouts, has a
suitable solution for you:
Off-Grid Systems:
are completely independent of the utility grid.
Stand-alone systems must have batteries to provide
energy storage during times of low input or high usage.
AC Coupling Systems:
are quite similar to stand-alone systems. They also use
batteries, but they are connected to the utility grid, so they
can send out to the grid any surplus electricity
generated by the renewable energy system, and use utility
electricity when needed.
Grid-Tie (On-Grid) Systems:
They have only the energy generation source and an
inverter connected to the utility grid without batteries. It is
the most common application to reduce electricity bill and
benefit from the feed-in tariff
