$5,000.00 goal amount.
o Contacted potential sponsors and wrote letters to businesses and non-
profits, requesting economical support for our project.
o Attended community events and approached individuals to both promote
and fund the project.
o Participated in radio programs, English and Spanish, to advertise our
project.
• Helped to remodel and convert the Umatilla Senior Center into the now Umatilla
Community Center.
o Removed carpets, installed new flooring, and painted, among other hands-
