1. What is a password manager?
a. A piece of software that keeps track of your passwords and other
important data like Social Security numbers, credit cards, software
activation keys, WiFi router keys, secure notes, etc.
b. Available for desktop and mobile. Have browser extensions.
c. Secure and encrypted. The companies do not have access to your
passwords, only you have the key. No one has access to your
passwords but you. Passwords are encrypted everywhere: when
being entered on a website, while at rest on the company’s servers.
256 bit encryption.
2. Why get a password manager?
a. You only have to remember the Master Password
b. Keeps track of all of your passwords
c. Generates complex, secure passwords
d. Adds convenience to filling in passwords
e. You can stop using the same password for multiple sites (BAD
IDEA!)
f. If you have a smart phone, you can carry all your passwords
anywhere you go.

a. All of your passwords are in one place which is attractive to hackers
4. Creating a Master Key
a. The longer the better. Mine has 22 characters (letters and symbols)
b. Something that you can remember easily.
