Item Pre-Tasks (During Rig Move) VpCI Check
1 Add to one clean active mudpit 2.5% VpCI Powder. 609

Connect HP Standpipe manifold Including Rotary Hose to Choke manifold.
Circulate VpCI Powder through mud pumps, in any possible combination to
allow entire HP piping system to be circulated back to active mudpit.
3 Add 2.5% VpCI Powder to each liner wash tank. 609
4 Add 20% VpCI fluid to each mudpump gear sump. 326
5 Add 20% VpCI fluid to each mudpump chain case. (If applicable) 326
6 Run Mudpumps for 1 hour each.

Mechanical & Electrical Lock-Out (PTW) filled out and equipment
checked for safe to work on.

Preservation Tasks VpCI Check
Item Mechanical:
1 Take photo of Mud Pumps prior starting preservation. (Insert below)

Verify that Tasks (During Rig Move) line items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 have been
completed prior to Mud Pumps preservation tasks starts.
3 Wash and Clean exterior Mud Pumps of all mud, dirt and contaminants.

Inspect exterior of Mud Pumps for signs of large areas of corrosion. (If Yes see
below).

If large areas of corrosion and damage to coating/painting are found in
Mudpumps, areas shall be wire brushed or blasted cleaned and repaired
(painted) as per Owners OEM paint suppliers recommended repair procedure
for coating/painting to mitigate further deterioration.

Open each Suction & Discharge module remove and clean:
Valve Cap

Liner Retention System

Intermediate Rods
Piston Rods
Coat inside Suction & Discharge module with VpCI fluid. Coat all above items
with VpCI CorrLube and wrap in VpCI Blue, palletize and store.

Open inspection covers and spay all exposed areas including bearings with
VpCI fluid and close up.

Open and clean out settling Chamber and spray with VpCI fluid and close back

Thoroughly grease pump bearings as per OEM grease chart with rust

De-Preservation of equipment based on used preservation fluids needs to be
verified with Cortec VpIC, Unless stated in the procedural steps typically does
not require removal prior to equipment re-activation.
