§ Responsible for the process mapping within the High Performance Group Program, aimed to provide scholarships to Ecuadorian
students who attend top of the line universities around the world, which includes:
§ Create a comprehensive information chart with details from all the universities that are part of the Universities of Excellence
list. A SWOT analysis was included in order to ease the selection process for the students and better understand the different
criteria to be analyzed before making a decision.
§ Develop a strategy to extend the program based on a profound analysis of the population and the target universities by
understanding the defining characteristics of each student and matching them with the right institution.
§ Generate manuals and other documents to record the processes that need to be followed before, during, and after the
student’s application process.
§ Implement marketing and management practices in order to set well established processes to reach out to our target
population.
§ Lobby in favor of the program at various levels with key counterparts in other institutions.
§ Revision and closing of contracts and other related instruments.
Cultural Affairs Assistant

§ Responsible for the logistics of different educational and cultural programs which included:
§ Study of the U.S. program for University Leaders, which consisted in evaluating, pre-selecting and arranging logistics for selected
students. Using non-traditional tools (outreach through new media) to advertise the program, over 600 applied between 2008 and
2010 (three editions). Six highly qualified students were selected for two consecutive years. In 2010 a seventh slot was awarded in
recognition of the efforts demonstrated in the selection process.
§ International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP) for high school teachers in different areas. Selected participants stayed for five
months in a university in the United States. There they learn new teaching techniques and also share their experiences with
colleagues from around the world.
§ Management of the Cultural Affairs Officer agenda, both internal and external.
§ Administration of different databases and software used in the Public Affairs Section (PAS) to report activities and nominate candidates to
participate in programs sponsored by the U.S. government. In 2010 PAS Quito was awarded additional funds for programming in
recognition of the efficiency demonstrated using the Mission Activity Tracker.
§ Support to the Fulbright Commission with the visa process for the Fulbright grantees.
§ Event planning, organizing and support including official visits, summits, receptions, and presentations.
§ Support to the Press and Outreach sections as requested. Draft of press releases and other related tasks.
§ Back up for the Budget and Administration Specialist. Responsible for the preparation of grants, purchase orders, grant reports, budget

learn English. This program is a partnership between the U.S. Embassy in Quito and Benedict School of Languages. The
mentor supports the students so they stay in school and change their perspective about the future.
§ Observer in three elections with NGO Participación Ciudadana between 2002 and 2006.
