1. Kessa essay
Kessas parents feel like they have ignored her a little bit when she was younger,
they gave her siblings more love and time. They felt afterwards that they could
have done more to her confidence so she would feel better on the inside. Her
parents felt that they could have realized that she was sick earlier than they did,
and that she threw up after her parents forced her to eat. But her siblings played a
major role in the big picture as well as siblings usually standing near each other, so
they may have affected her self-esteem. Her siblings didn’t be partakers of her life
and therefore she had no one talk to. Siblings tend to be for each other in all
situations, but if you don’t have contact with them, life becomes more difficult.
This is why some people in her family feel guilty about her eating disorders.
Kessa’s parents ignores the fact that she is very ill, because they want her to be
normal and not different. Her parents wanted at least one normal child. And they
blamed eachother for her eating disorder. That put her in a very difficult situation
because no one wants to recognize that she has a disease. And because of that,
she got so ill that in the end she had to go to a hospital to survive.
The first one to blame for her eating disorder is Madame. She started the whole
dieting process by telling Kessa to lose a couple of pounds. Her parents is to blame
also because they were not very involved in her life as a child. The parents were
not involved in her life because she had a rebellious sister, and her brother was
also in need for extra attention.
