PALEO DIET OVERVIEW:
A paleo diet is a dietary arrangement in
view of food sources like what may have
been eaten during the Paleolithic period,
which dates from around 2.5 million to
10,000 years prior in history.
A paleo diet regularly incorporates lean
meats, fish, organic products, vegetables,
nuts, and seeds - food varieties that in the
past could be acquired by hunting and
assembling. A paleo diet limits food
sources that became normal when
agriculture arose around 10,000 years
prior. These food sources incorporate dairy
items, vegetables, and grains.
Early man used his senses to figure out the
world around him. He relied on
observation and feelings, which were later
replaced by reason and science. Paleolithic
3. man is considered to be a true example of
this because he had numerous senses at his
disposal – senses that helped him survive
in a tough environment. These included
smell, taste, hearing, sight, touch, and
instinctive knowledge of the characteristics
of any type of naturalfood source. Perhaps
the most important sense was instinctive
knowledge of every kind of edible food
found in nature.
From an evolutionary perspective, it makes
sense that animals would develop senses to
identify nutritious food sources and avoid
toxic substances. People often get sick
from consuming foods that their body
perceives as toxic from too much salt or
acidic substances.These foods might not
have always been toxic or unhealthy, but
they had become so through humans’
manipulation of them through farming and
growing.
4. In addition to the five senses, paleolithic man also
used religion and other means of controlling the
surrounding forces to understand his environment.
Of course, he had no concept of germs and bacteria,
but he may have attributed illness to evil spirits or
other powerful forces. Though these methods were
helpful in understanding his environment, they were
not as reliable as using a sensor system based on
concrete sensory input… TO READ MORE
