LINX4Life is an exciting multi-faceted initiative
targeting children, teachers, parents and families.
The overall aim is to promote active living,
get communities more active and raise awareness
of healthy eating and basic cooking skills.
LINX4Life will introduce a whole range of fun,
diverse activities and training to communities in
Sport, Physical Activity, Nutrition, Health and
Education encouraging and empowering children,
families and communities to participate.
3. Introduction
LINX4Life will ensure that quality and consistent
messages are delivered throughout, creating a
clear pathway to improving their general health
and wellbeing.
LINX4Life aims to make a sustainable and
positive change to peoples lives and is operated for
the benefit of the community and not as a profit
only driven enterprise.
5. Sport
LINX4Sport has a great working partnership with
local sports clubs, the main aim of the service is
to encourage and promote more sport and
physical activity across communities through
increase sports provision in schools and
Communities.
Linx4Sport will advise young people and families
of Sport and physical activity
programmes by creating a rites of passage into
sustained happy activity for life.
6. Nutrition
LINX4Nutrition cooking resources for children,
families and schools. The activities are delivered
through games, play, songs and dance as well as
growing.
The programme encourages healthy eating,
healthy snacking and increases physical activity
amongst families.
All resources encourage families to participate
and get hands on experience empowering
families to explore the fascinating world of food.
7. Health
LINX4Health has worked with key partners to
develop a whole range of physical activity
resources for children, families and schools.
The aim of the LINX4Life is to deliver high quality,
fun motivational sessions, promote the
importance of physical activity and wellbeing
across communities .
The resources focus on the development of basic
fundamental movements skills and
encourage FUN family play.
8. Education
LINX4Education has worked with key partners to
develop a comprehensive package of training.
Training will be offered to young people, families,
health professional's, teachers, classroom
assistants and PHSE coordinator's.
LINX4Life aims to ensure the delivery of active
play, family fun, effective afterschool sports and
nutrition clubs, breakfast clubs, healthy tuck
shops that offer quality and consistent messages
throughout.
