An accomplished attorney focused on complex civil litigation, Lisa M. Nousek is a
partner with Boies, Schiller & Flexner, LLP, in Armonk, NewYork. In her free time,
Lisa M. Nousek enjoys playing polo and is active with related organizations,
including the PoloTraining Foundation (PTF), a nonprofit founded in 1967 that
supports polo players and officials at all levels through a variety of programs and
activities.
3. The PoloTraining Foundation Provides
Scholarships for Polo Players
In 2011, the PTF launched a scholarship program for student athletes who
participate in a polo program at a high school, college, or university.To be
considered for a PTF scholarship, applicants must have a cumulative 3.0 grade-point
average and demonstrate financial need. Students must also be enrolled or
planning to enroll full time in a college or university within the United States that
has an established polo program.

Scholarships are granted for the first four years of college, but recipients are
required to re-apply every year and to provide academic transcripts in order to
maintain eligibility. The amount and number of PTF scholarships awarded by the
Foundation varies from year to year, based on the availability of funds, which are
provided through private donations.
