10. Dressing for Winter
• Critical areas to keep warm: Head, neck and hands.
• Sunblock and sunglasses with good UV protection to
protect the skin and eyes.
• Be prepared for swift weather changes
• Dress in layers: Add and remove layers in response
to temperature changes.
• Do NOT overdress: Increased perspiration leads to
discomfort and even hypothermia.

the next clothing layer to evaporate without losing

• Insulation layer: Wool is natural, durable and keeps

help to sustain protection from wind and precipitation.
