lesson plans that reflected North Carolina Standard Course of Study/Common Core Essential Standards
and acknowledged and incorporated the strands of the NC Teacher Evaluation Instrument. The plans
included CRISS, Kagan, Thinking Maps, and Marzano Vocabulary instructional strategies for the Fourth
Grade Team. Embedded SMART Notebook activities in lesson plans to maximum student engagement and
motivation. Updated grade-level Haiku with current learning targets and intentional purposeful lesson
plans and instructional strategies that ensure rigor, relevance, and authenticity. Became the classroom
facilitator as students accessed the Haiku Exemplar Lesson Plans that melded independent reading of
increasingly complex text with 21st Century technologies using 1:1 mini-laptops. Additional
responsibilities included advising, modeling, and coaching all instructional staff members as the school-
based CRISS trainer. Lead monthly staff development sessions: CRISS Focus. Tutored At-Risk students a
of two days weekly from 2:00 – 4:30. Collaborated with grade-level as well as vertical Professional
