Use of laminar flow hoods, autoclaves, microscopes, incubators and shakers for growing and
screening of microbes. Different inoculation methods for bacterial and fungal samples.
• Chemical Analysis of Compounds
- Modification of organic compounds e.g. methylation of organic compounds which contain
internal di-sulphide bridges via reduction of the di-sulphide bridge and subsequent
alkylation.
• Cell culture
Culturing cells, harvesting cellular components, aseptic techniques.
