Sergeant (Operations) October 1013 – Present
As Operations Sergeant I am responsible for all of the Department scheduling of officers, part time
officers and ancillary officers and approving all vacations, sick time and training as well as making sure
all shifts are covered. Documenting all time on the Kronos system. I designed and implemented the 12
hour schedule and helped secure approval through Human Recourses. As the departments operation
sergeant I have full knowledge of the departments operating functions, personnel ID’s, ANDOVER
system and assist officers with personal and employment issues including disciplinary and officers
complaints. Maintaining the Departments Centurion Alarm System, Campus AED’s, event planning and
scheduling for social events, athletics events and special events such as commencement this includes
scheduling of officers for events and assist the Chief of Police in daily duties as well as the daily
Department operations including department equipment, the department’s crime log,
Corporal/ Training officer June-2011 – Present
I was responsible for the training of the Purdue Calumet Police Department. Maintaining records for all
officers and reporting data to the State of Indiana. Registering officers for classes and to make sure that
the officers met the state requirements for annual training.
Maintaining the Centurion alarm system, this includes installing new devices and complete systems. I
am a certified instructor through Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and through Louisianan State
University.
2. Patrol Officer March-2005-June-2011
My duties included patrolling the university campus, answering calls for service, monitoring traffic and
parking, responding to emergencies and provide access control to the buildings. I also provided escorts
and motorists assist. I’m familiar with and understand the functions of the alarm systems, doors and
cameras of the campus.

Patrol Sergeant-January – 2002-June-2002
Shift supervisor, responsible for scheduling and assignment of the districts within the city of Hobart.
Lieutenant- Training Coordinator -1999-2002
Lieutenant in charge of coordinating the continuous training for the Hobart police department which
consisted of 57 Officers. I negotiated with the department suppliers and also helped to design and
construct the Hobart South Station. I occasionally served as the Public Information Officer.
Lieutenant – Detective Bureau -1998-1999
Supervisor of the investigators, responsible for scheduling and assignment of cases. I personally
investigated numerous cases including incidents of robbery.
Detective Sergeant- Criminal Investigations Bureau -1993- 1998
Assigned to the criminal investigations bureau as an investigator to investigate crimes and file cases with
the Lake County Prosecutors Office testifying as needed.
Corporal- Patrol Division Supervisor -1988-1993
Patrol Supervisor in the absence of the Lieutenant and Sergeant. I was responsible for the scheduling
and assigning the districts within the city of Hobart.
Patrol Officer/ Canine Officer 1972-1988
My duties included patrolling the city answering calls for service. During this time, I became one of the
first Canine Officers in Lake County.
