LEXIS LINK MONITORING
1. Input from Lexis
a. Lexis will send a version of the attached document as our input document.
b. Updated document will be sent once a week. Links may be added or deleted; they will
provide full list each week.
c. Spreadsheet will have one tab per Practice Area. We are to treat each list (each tab)
independently. On any given week, any of these lists may or may not change.
2. Monitoring
a. Links to be monitored once a day, 7 days a week
b. Results are to be categorized success, redirect (login page), redirect (other), and fail
3. Communicating results

2. a. Results are to be communicated via email. One daily email PER PRACTICE area. Each
practice area will have a different email address.
b. Format of results email to be decided. But high level it is expected to be a spreadsheet
containing all results excluding successes.
4. Dashboard (including history)
a. There is a requirement for a dashboard to show status of links by practice area.
b. Status should be current (latest) status AND some historical results
c. Also required is a summary status consolidating details of all practice areas
5. Redirects
a. Redirects are a bit troublesome.
I. IF
Redirect is to a page that is different from what Lexis team wants, they will update/remove
the link and send it in following week's spreadsheet. This is the simple case
ii. IF
Redirect is to a page that Lexis is okay with, they would prefer to make no changes.
However, they do not want to be informed of the same redirect over and over again. So
they want to be able to tell us 'this redirect is okay'- and we would consider that page a
'success' going forward.
