The Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone aims to create a new urban quarter for Bristol by 2037, with targets of 4,000 new jobs in the first 5 years, 100 new businesses by 2017, 240,000 sq m of new development, and focusing on creative, digital and low carbon sectors. So far the zone has exceeded job targets with over 3,000 jobs, attracted over 150 businesses, and developed over 20,000 sq m of space with low vacancy levels. Upcoming plans include an enterprise zone extension and business rates discount scheme to further support business growth in the area.
