Kumudu de Silva is enrolled in the Master of Finance (MFIN) program at the Queen’s School of
Business and will be graduating in May of this year. The Queen’s MFIN program is specifically
designed for finance professionals who want a career in investment banking, asset management
or financial analysis. It is a one year program that combines analytical rigour with practical
application in the key areas of corporate finance, quantitative analysis, advanced financial
modelling, equity markets and analysis, derivatives, hedge funds, investment banking and
portfolio management. The Queen’s MFIN provides an excellent background for students who
are interested in entering rotational programs in the wealth management areas of major financial
institutions.
Kumudu is a very solid student in the MFIN program. She is actively engaged in the learning
process through class participation and extra-curricular activities. Her marks have been very
good in both individual and team assignments, a reflection of her own strong academic abilities
and ability to work well with others. She has strong communication skills, a sense of humour,
and is well-liked in the class.
