4.2. Programme requirements:
The programme of Study of Occupational Safety is carried out in the form of lectures, seminars and exercises, as well as
other forms which include tutorials, working with a mentor, workshop and internship. During their professional study
students develop the following abilities: to identifu hazards, to analyze, synthesize and formulate optimum solutions in the
field ofoccupational safety; ability for critical thinking, for self-studying and integrating all acquired knowledge, adapting
to new situations, finding creative solutions when establishing better conditions of safety, for organizing and managing
safety operations. During their studies students acquire knowledge in the field of general safety at work with emphasis on
performing safety activities in catering industry, transpoft, trade and health, as well as knowledge necessary to perform
complex operational activities in designing occupational safety. These activities in designing comprise complex
operational activities of planning, preparation, enhancement and control of technological processes in the field of safety at
work. The progralnme of study is considered completed when students have passed all the required examinations and have
successfully carried out their obligations including writing and discussing the final thesis.
