The story Imagine dark murky woods, sheet rain, fork lightening and howling winds, now imagine out of the woods comes a lifeless body being dragged through the mud. Suddenly… You flash back to 1 year earlier where a shadowy figure is sitting all alone in a candle lit study, writing a book, a book about a character who seems to be going through the same difficulties as he is. Get ready to follow him through his life as he overcomes his wife and kid’s deaths, this leads him in to severe money problems and debt which eventually leads him to his . Will he overcome his depression? Will he fight back? This is Valeo.
The first scene of the movie is Scott Valeo being dragged through the mud, creating finger marks where he is clutching desperately on the floor. Flashes to 1 year earlier, in a quiet study where he appears to be writing a book. 1 month later, cuts to a study door slightly ajar, raised voices arguing about book and how Scott never pays her or the kids any attention.Camera follows to front door where Scott answers the door to inspector who asks Scott if he can ask a few questions about his wife and kid’s death.   Wife leaves him a note saying she has left with the kids without mention of where they are going. A few weeks we find him in the study, depressed, drinking, broken bottles, screwed up pieces of paper in and around the bin, smashed photo. Money problems lead him to getting threats from loan sharks. Eventually reaches the first beat of the film where he is being dragged through the mud. He tries to grasp the mud but gives up, flashback of him with kids. The same shot but instead of giving up, he gets up and fights back but unsuccessfully and the shot fades away.
