Sexual Discrimination
Sexual Discrimination referees to
Adverse treatment of an individual based on sex and/or gender
Encompasses sexual misconduct but also include other discriminatory behavior that
doesn’t constitute as sexual conduct
Falling to include or refuse, hire, or let participate an individual in a university
activity
Terminating or removing an individual from employment or and education
programs
How we respond to complaints or reports about
prohibited conduct
Respond with measures designed to stop the behavior
Eliminate any such gender discrimination
Prevent the recurrence of the prohibited conduct
Settle any adverse effects of such conduct on campus or in University-
related programs or activities
Sexual Misconduct
Sexual Misconduct are prohibited under our policy
Not tolerated and disciplinary actions will be dealt out through the University
Include
Force or duress
Inducement of incapacitate where the penetrator takes advantage of the other while
incapacitated
Results in expulsion, termination or employment
Non-Consensual Penetration (known as rape)
Any act of vaginal or anal contact penetrated by a person’s
Penis
Finger
Other body parts
Or oral penetration by a penis
Without consent
Non-Consensual Sexual Contact (known as sexual assault)
Any sexual touching other than non consensual penetration without consent
May include
Genital to genital or oral contact not involving penetration
Breast
Buttocks
Genital area (including over clothes)
Removing clothing of another person
Kissing
What is rape?
Rape by official definition is:
unlawful sexual activity and usually sexual intercourse carried out forcibly or under
threat of injury against the will usually of a female or with a person who is beneath a
certain age or incapable of valid consent — compare
What is Sexual Harassment ?
Sexual harassment by official definition is:
uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical behavior of a sexual nature especially by a
person in authority toward a subordinate (as an employee or student)
Sexual Exploitation
Any act whereby one person violates the sexual privacy of another
Takes unjust or abusive sexual advantages of another who has not provided consent
Does not constitute
Non consensual sexual penetration
Or non consensual sexual contact
